Requirements
- Juris Doctorate from ABA accredited law school.
- Member in good standing of at least one state bar.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience in a law firm or corporate law department with focus on commercial law and contracts.
- Experience drafting and reviewing various types of agreements, including Service Agreements, Development and Joint Development Agreements, Statements of Work, NDAs, agreements related to data privacy/security, streaming media/content licenses, and agreements with vendors, customers, logistics providers, supply chain, procurement and other commercial agreements;
- Familiarity with and/or experienced in legal compliance matters including antitrust, FCPA, privacy, etc.
- Significant experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.
- Experience advising international corporations/clients.
- Experience participating in industry and/or standard setting associations.
- Problem solving unique and complex involving international consequences.
- Proficiency with the computer applications appropriate to the position and assignment.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with functional/business teams (engineering, purchasing, sales, marketing) to draft, review/revise, negotiate, a wide variety of agreements including but not limited to Service Agreements, Development and Joint Development Agreements, Statements of Work, NDAs, agreements related to data privacy/security, and agreements with vendors, customers, logistics providers, supply chain, procurement and other commercial agreements;
- Provides practical counsel on legal matters to all levels of management intended to further the objectives of the business while mitigating risk.
- Supports litigation and other dispute resolution matters.
- Provides support to the General Counsel, other attorneys and staff on various matters as needed, including corporate governance, labor and employment, privacy, compliance, tracking departmental metrics, and researching and implementing best practices and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with PASJ Legal and Compliance teams as needed
- Utilize and collaborate with subject matter experts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Labor & Employment experience a significant
- In-house and/or automotive industry experience
- Experience supporting subsidiaries in Mexico
- Spanish language skills a plus
- Data Privacy
