Requirements
- BICSI-Tech or CTS-I (current credentials or ability to obtain them within 6-12 months)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical or vocational training in electronics or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a low voltage technician
- Crestron Programming 101
- Crestron Online Courses
- Lutron Programming and Design
- Biamp Tesira Forte, Tesira 101
- Qsys Level 1
Responsibilities
- Physically inspect active projects to ensure that systems meet code, compliance standards, and best practices
- Produce comprehensive reports with findings and next steps
- Oversee, coordinate and verify the install of complex low voltage systems, including security systems, audio/visual systems, network infrastructure, and lighting control
- Perform preventative maintenance on low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Use expert knowledge of signal flow, basic logic, active components, and manufacturer software tools to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Repair faulty systems to meet industry standards and regulations
- Maintain detailed documentation, including test results and troubleshooting procedures, serial numbers and MAC Addresses, software and firmware versions, shop and As Built Drawings, and control protocol IDs (if applicable)
- Provide training and guidance to newer technicians
- Assist in project planning and execution to meet deadlines and budgets while providing quality and customer service
