Commodity Manager

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commodity purchasing or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of market conditions and trends in relevant commodities.

Develop and implement strategies for the procurement of designated commodities to meet company objectives.
Monitor and analyze market trends, supply chain risks, and pricing fluctuations to make informed procurement decisions.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain.
Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
Identify and mitigate risks related to commodity supply, including developing contingency plans.
Preparing regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, cost savings, and market trends; using data to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to commodity procurement.
Work closely with other departments, including production, finance, and quality assurance, to align procurement strategies with overall business goals.
