Comparative Medicine Training Senior Specialist

Bachelor’s degree in related field
Three years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATg) certification
Pharmaceutical or other related industry experience
Travel up to 40%

Partners with veterinarians, IACUC Manager, IACUC and principal investigators in all training-related matters
Understand & identify training needs and partners with key stakeholders to address needs
Execute the development, implementation and facilitation of training programs and workshops as required
Design, create and facilitate effective content that address the needs of the skills desired
Coordinate training sessions, assess trainees, monitor, document and validate training
Coordinate development of training through a global network of colleagues
Provide support and assists in internal/external audits and inspections, as needed
Supports new approaches, practices and processes to improve the efficiency of training modules
Follow all local, state and federal regulations as well as company policies and procedures as it relates to the use of animals in research

Proven track record of collaborative work practices
Strong oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills
Familiarity with various types of data acquisition and Microsoft Office applications
Experience facilitating training workshops to small and large groups
Ability to work on multiple projects that require collaboration across functional areas/sites
Ability to work and coordinate globally (Project management)
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (e.g., on-the-job or e-learning, workshops, simulations, mentoring, etc.)
