Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • Five years of related experience preferred in financial institution audit, regulatory compliance, or risk management
  • Eight to ten years of banking or financial institution audit experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to learn and adapt to a variety of software programs

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and implements new and changing regulations, communicates relevant updates to business units, and collaborates with business units to ensure compliance through policy, procedure, and system changes.
  • Performs periodic internal monitoring exercises to assess adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
  • Creates and manages remediation plans in response to internal monitoring, audit, and exam findings and compliance violations.
  • Performs periodic compliance risk assessments, coordinates with the business units to gather supporting documentation needed to complete a risk assessment.
  • Assists in the preparation of quarterly and annual compliance reports.
  • Participates in the planning, development, conducting, and monitoring of colleague in-house educational programs.
  • Supports the business units by providing expertise on compliance matters, clarifying regulations, and offering guidance on best practices.
  • Supports the compliance and enterprise risk governance framework through ad hoc assignments and other duties as assigned.
