Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Finance, Communications, Journalism); advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the financial services industry or communications.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing engineering communication strategies for senior management and regulatory agencies.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong understanding of compliance engineering principles, risk management methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other communication tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously as part of a global team in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Communication Strategies: Define and implement comprehensive communication strategies tailored for various stakeholders, which include but not limited to Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, Audit Committee of GS Board, and regulatory agencies (e.g., SEC, FINRA, OCC, Federal Reserve). Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Compliance Engineering communications. Implement best practices for communication management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare High-Quality Reports and Presentations: Produce high-quality, technically accurate, and visually compelling reports, presentations, and briefings on Compliance Engineering strategies, initiatives, findings, and recommendations.
  • Regulatory Correspondence: Manage the preparation and submission of responses to regulatory inquiries, examinations, and audits related to Compliance Engineering matters. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of all regulatory correspondence.
  • Senior Management Updates: Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of key Compliance Engineering projects, emerging risks, and regulatory developments. Translate complex technical information into easily understandable language for non-technical audiences.
  • Board of Directors Communications: Develop presentations to the Board of Directors on compliance engineering strategy, risk management, and key performance indicators.
  • Investment memos: Working with Compliance Engineering managers, produce technical memos, which are presented to Engineering leadership to approve the engineering investment strategies.
  • Compliance Engineering internal communications: Manage scheduling and preparation for Compliance Engineering townhalls.
  • Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders: Work closely with other Compliance and Engineering teams to gather information, ensure consistency in messaging, and coordinate communication efforts.
  • Content Management: Maintain a central repository of all external communications, ensuring version control, accessibility, and compliance with record retention policies.
