Requirements
- Ability to make a six month commitment to working and developing skills at Sila (in Alameda, CA)
- Hands-on lab experience with Li-ion battery chemistry, especially electrolytes and pouch cells
- Pursuing a (preferably graduate) degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field
- Attention to safety
Responsibilities
- Spend 6+ months onsite at Sila developing methods and chemistries in the laboratory.
- Design and execute experiments to develop electrolytes that meet the safety and performance needs of specific applications, such as gas generation.
- Analyze data by using and modifying pre-existing scripts. Write new scripts if necessary.
- Document work meticulously and present results to a wide audience
