Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on computer vision and deep learning.
- Experience and understanding of transfer learning and reinforcement learning techniques.
- Experience in applying explainable AI techniques to improve the interpretability of our models.
- Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, or Tensorflow.
- Proficiency in writing clean, concise, well-tested, and maintainable Python code.
- Proven track record of developing and deploying computer vision algorithms in real-world applications.
- Experience performing basic ML model training tasks such as hyper parameter tuning, feature and model selection.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of data engineering to assist with the life cycle of models.
- Maintains integrity and consistently delivers high-quality work.
- Takes responsibility for personal and team outcomes to ensure successful results and insights.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement scalable cutting-edge computer vision algorithms for large seismic data analysis, particularly focusing on tasks such as image segmentation.
- Regularly dive into architecture, code, and deployments to model technical excellence for the team.
- Collaborate with geophysicists and data scientists to integrate computer vision solutions into our seismic interpretation workflows.
- Conduct research and stay up to date with the latest advancements in computer vision and deep learning.
- Assist with the deployment of deep learning models to production stages.
- Influence best practices for engineering rigor and help cultivate an engineering driven culture.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to all team members.
- Facilitate team growth by attracting candidates, interviewing, evaluating, and selecting new talent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in seismic data analysis or geophysical applications.
- Experience in fields such as medical imaging or autonomous vehicles, where challenging computer vision tasks are tackled, is highly desirable as some of the skills and knowledge from these areas could be effectively transferred to our applications.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS.
- Familiarity with high-performance computing and parallel processing techniques.
