Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, engineering technology, or related field; or Associate’s degree in related field with 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Eight years of experience with industrial projects in the areas of construction, project management, plant operations, or engineering.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate drawings and plans to identify potential constructability issues and recommend solutions to enhance project delivery.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of potential contractors by assessing their qualifications, experience, safety records and past performance.
- Work closely with engineering, project management, procurement, environmental, safety, and construction teams to ensure that constructability considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Establish and maintain constructability standards, best practices, and guidelines.
- Develop and support work packages that define scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and resource requirements for each phase of a project.
- Identify and analyze risks related to constructability and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Maintain comprehensive records of constructability reviews, assessments, and decisions to ensure accountability and transparency.
- Collect and implement lessons learned and best practices from previous projects, industry, published documentation, and peer utilities.
- Support creating of workforce requirements needed to construct new generation projects.
