Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on base building projects for data centers, industrial, or commercial facilities.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of structural systems, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel up to 30% to multiple project sites.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the construction of building shells and primary mechanical systems for hyperscale AI Data Centers.
- Direct the development of roofs, exterior walls, and critical infrastructure systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and company objectives.
- Conduct routine site inspections to monitor progress and verify adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Act as the primary liaison for internal teams and external stakeholders, resolving challenges and ensuring smooth communication.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with contractors and vendors, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to agreements.
- Maintain strict adherence to project budgets and timelines, proactively addressing potential issues.
- Identify and implement strategies to mitigate construction risks and ensure project success.
- Work closely with engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure seamless project integration.
- Provide regular updates on project status, highlighting key milestones and potential roadblocks.
- Enforce and maintain stringent safety protocols on all construction sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or certifications in construction management or related fields.
- Experience with hyperscale data center construction.
- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices.
- Experience with lean construction methodologies.
- Advanced knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Experience managing projects over 100 million dollars in value.
- Experience with complex electrical or mechanical systems.
