Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/consulting industry in market access or health economics, with proven experience leading consulting engagements
- PhD/Masters/MBA in relevant health sciences field
- Functional knowledge of English, both written and spoken
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a wide range of client projects in the pharmaceutical and medical device space in Canada
- Lead study design and methodology development
- Develop innovative approaches, frameworks and solutions to client problems
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, study protocols and draft reports
- Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative ‘real-world’ data for deliverables
- Conduct ad-hoc project tasks
- Prepare presentations, abstracts and manuscripts relating to projects including for presentation at scientific conferences and submission to scientific journals
- Conduct primary and secondary research
- Conduct workshops, expert advisory boards and moderate discussions
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research with Canadian opinion leaders
- Develop and present on thought leadership pieces, whitepapers, posters, and conferences
- Lead overall project management and client management
- Run client and other external meetings normally accompanied by a team
- Review and analyze client requirements or problems in order to develop proposals for projects that exceed client expectations
Preferred Qualifications
- Good understanding of the pharmaceutical reimbursement process in Canada
- Experience in programming Visual Basic for Applications within Excel is a plus
- Experience with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, R) is a plus
- Commercial awareness and good understanding of the health technology and pharmaceutical industry, gained through experience
- Knowledge of consulting methods, tools and techniques related to these areas
