Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience backed by a bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance
- CPA license is preferred
- Attention to detail and love for data
- Experience with Excel pivot tables and large data sets
- Enthusiasm for designing and building new accounting systems
- Prior work with contract review, data entry and analysis, research, and problem-solving tasks is helpful
- Curiosity and passion for asking probing questions and challenging the status quo
- Ability to adapt to an ever-changing ecosystem of content, finance, and accounting issues
Responsibilities
- Set up and accounting of content license contracts in proprietary contract management system
- Perform monthly close tasks such as accrual analyses and reconciliations
- Review and prepare documentation of content license agreements
- Account for owned content and work with business partners to understand the full cost of produced shows
- Drive process improvements and contribute to exciting projects
- Cross-functional interaction with teams outside of Content Accounting
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience is not essential if you have a strong accounting background and are capable of learning quickly
