Requirements

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Business or related field plus a minimum of 5 years of related work experience or 3+ years with a Masters (may be substituted for equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience)
  • Experience working proposal responses to Request for Proposal (RFP), participating in RFP and proposal review meetings, contract pre-award meetings, and drafting/finalization of contract
  • Experience managing Government contracts under FAR, DFAR, and other agency supplements
  • Experience preparing, maintaining, retrieving, and communicating records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate and Contract Management requirements
  • Experience interfacing with all levels of the project team (includes representing and interfacing with all levels of internal and/or external management and corporate organization person’s documents)
  • Must reside within 10 miles of San Antonio, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the contracts and subcontracts function and performs contract negotiation, analysis, and administration; proposal preparation; and customer contact related to contract acquisition and fulfillment. Manages the development of contract policies, procedures, methods, operating practices, and performance standards for contractual programs.
  • Handles more complex bids that may require integrating proposals from subcontractors and other potential vendors.
  • Facilitates effective implementation of contract responsibilities within program objectives and requirements.
  • Reviews and resolves all issues effecting company compliance and ensures satisfaction of legal requirements, Company, and customer objectives.
  • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.
  • Reviews complex solicitations and prepares specialized and/or non-routine response for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
  • Provides contractual guidance to business team members for appropriate statement of work (SOW). Manages contract change control process.
  • Focal point for communications with legal, finance and business team disciplines for resolution of contract issues and disputes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in general business applications like Deltek CostPoint, Microsoft Office -Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Self-starter and independent worker with good organizational and computer skills.
  • Basic Knowledge of contract types and terms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
