Requirements

  • Strong experience in interpreting and drafting contracts, negotiating sales agreements, support agreements, license agreements and Master Agreements.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to positively influence behavior of multiple collaborators, as well as to be able to successfully balance the interests of the customer with maintaining a good fiscal and risk position for the company.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, to identify and resolve legal issues, possess knowledge of LSEG products, services and organizational structure.
  • Works well as a team member and builds rapport and trust with both internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Possess highly developed organizational skills and be articulate, diligent and hard-working.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, negotiating and coordinating/administering sales and sales-related agreements, including large master agreements with customers, terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements and software licenses.
  • Facilitating review and proper approval for legal terms.
  • Working with sales, finance, commercial strategy, and product on contract terms which affect the deal.
  • Extensive interaction and coordination with the external customer, and the sales, finance, product, and legal departments of LSEG.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a paralegal, contract manager or negotiating contracts.
  • Experience with technology or licensing agreements a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) is required, and experience with computer database programs is an asset.
  • Training or education in business and/or corporate law, negotiation, legal writing, a definite plus.
  • Experience working with financial and technology firms a definite plus.
  • Experience working in Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Experience working on projects involving multiple collaborators and/or subject matter experts a plus.
