Requirements

  • JD Degree from an accredited and recognized law school is required
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a large law firm or in-house experience with an emphasis on commercial transactions, preparing and negotiating contracts and managing general legal requests and workflow processes
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service approach
  • Attentive to details while balancing with larger business and strategic needs
  • Ability to take initiative, be accountable, make good decisions, demonstrate good judgment and be a pragmatic problem solver
  • Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation and drafting skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize work to meet business demands
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Review and manage all contracts for the organization
  • Manage the internal expectations of business team members
  • Engage directly with customers, vendors, partners and their attorneys during contract negotiations
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including services agreements, supply agreements, SAAS Agreements, vendor agreements, dealer agreements, manufacturing agreements, leases, confidentiality agreements, etc.
  • Maintain and improve the day-to-day operations and administration of the company’s contracting processes and procedures for all legal contracts
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and project teams, to ensure contract terms align with business objectives and minimize potential legal liabilities
  • Assist the General Counsel in managing various legal affairs and willingness to take on various legal projects to support Traeger’s legal needs and growth
  • Interface with internal departmental teams to assist in the Legal team’s efforts to understand needs and prioritization of existing and proposed projects
  • Conduct training sessions for internal business teams regarding contract procedures and/or legal topics as necessary
  • Perform legal research, as requested on topics for the company
  • Assist the General Counsel with a variety of projects such as data privacy, litigation, compliance, product liability, advertising law, and other general corporate matters
  • Assist the General Counsel and compliance team in management, updating, and enforcement of the Company’s global compliance plan

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference for deep experience in drafting and negotiating international agreements (e.g., service, commercial, etc.)
  • Broad experience with a range of standard contracts (e.g., service agreements, employment, influencer, endorsement, etc.)
  • Experience with contracts management systems preferred
