Requirements

  • 3+ years in corporate security and/or have a BA/BS degree, or law enforcement/military experience
  • Operations skills relevant to the safeguarding of a large office
  • Implementing and optimizing advanced security technologies—visitor management and access control
  • A successful track record of coordination with 3rd party security vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with internal teams and external agencies, forging strong, collaborative relationships
  • Proven skill in creating, revising, and executing SOPs to ensure consistent and efficient security practices, alongside training programs for both security personnel and broader teams
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, swiftly pivoting in response to emerging threats or organizational changes
  • Ability and willingness to travel to regional offices also to support various events a few times a year or as needed globally

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage physical security measures, including policies, systems, and vendor relationships, to protect employees and visitors in the San Francisco office
  • Plan, lead, and execute executive protection coordination for VIPs, ensuring their safety during visits or events on campus
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (workplace, executive business partners, Legal, HR) to manage complex security logistics
  • Work closely with internal and external security providers and law enforcement to ensure comprehensive protection coverage
  • Lead coordination efforts with government officials and high-level delegations, ensuring secure access and compliance with relevant protocols
  • Develop, implement, and manage security plans for small to large-scale events, ensuring safety for all attendees and staff
  • Coordinate with event organizers, workplace teams, and vendors to execute comprehensive security protocols
  • Provide exceptional service to VIPs, guests, and delegations, ensuring a positive visitor experience
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with local law enforcement agencies, peer security organizations, and other external partners to stay current on emerging risks
  • Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training programs, and compliance initiatives, ensuring all protocols meet high-quality standards and legal requirements
