Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Criminal Justice or equivalent education and related training or experience.
- Ten or more years of experience in security operations, security consulting, facility project coordination, law enforcement with emphasis on crime prevention or comparable work experience.
- Five or more years of experience in a management role with direct report supervision responsibilities.
- Industry Certifications to include one or more of the following: At least one security industry related certification such as ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP), ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or Professional Certified Investigator (PCI).
- Ability to manage a team, including identifying and recruiting talent, managing performance, and making decisions about resource allocation.
- Ability to lead/influence others to adopt a new perspective and handle interpersonal issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions and exercise sound judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.
- Capable of adapting to change and making difficult decisions in a challenging environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to communicate complex information in a succinct manner.
- Ability to travel when needed on short notice for up to a week.
Responsibilities
- Oversees programs that support the physical protection, security, and crime prevention for the corporation’s property and assets.
- Manage business partnerships with cross-functional internal departments and external security resources. Build rapport within all levels of the corporation by establishing an environment of trust and mutual respect.
- Coordinate long-range planning to ensure development of personnel, equipment, systems, and security resources in a manner consistent with the division and corporate goals.
- Provide leadership to team on security risk evaluations to identify vulnerabilities and implement measures through external and internal business partners to mitigate loss and liability.
- Provide direction to the corporation on physical security, policy and procedures, equipment design, integration and compliance.
- Ensure successful implementation of security deliverables in accordance with company, industry standards and applicable laws.
- Make judgements about priorities and adapts plans to meet service, operational, and budget challenges.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
- Manage financial components of the Corporate Security program to include budget, forecast, capital planning, accounts payable and contract renewals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or Criminal Justice or similar field of study.
- Experience in the banking or financial services field.
- Experience in leading large-scale projects with significant complexity and risk exposure from beginning to end.
- Multiple security industry related certification such as ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP), ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), etc.
