Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
- 4-6 years of M&A experience at an asset manager, investment bank, consulting firm, private equity firm, or complex multinational corporation
- Ability to operate in a senior level strategy and/or corporate development role
- Proven problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills; deep experience with financial modeling, valuation, and financial statements
- Ability to own financial modeling and valuation analyses in support of deals, and to synthesize data into high-quality presentations and written communications for board of director meetings and executive updates
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate business opportunities globally including acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and joint ventures based on our firm-wide strategic priorities
- Work with senior management and business unit leaders to determine strategic objectives and identify opportunities to meet these goals including (but not limited to) market entry strategies, business prioritization, and assessing strategic investments and partnerships
- Lead and manage project teams driving transaction-related activities including deal evaluation, negotiation and due diligence, working closely with business unit leaders, internal functional experts, and outside advisors to support execution of transactions
- Support strategic initiatives and projects that promote the implementation of the long-term firm strategy
- Communicate strategic priorities and execution plans across the firm via presentations, meetings, written communications
- Partner with investment, client, and corporate functions to provide periodic updates on business / regional performance and strategy
- Support senior management in the preparation of presentations and communications with the Board of Directors, shareholders, and key governance committees
- Develop and maintain industry and competitive intelligence
- Drive a collaborative and supportive work environment, actively seeking out opportunities to develop team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Asset management industry, including private markets and/or financial technology, knowledge is preferred
