Requirements
- J.D. from accredited law school/Bar membership required
- At least 5 years corporate legal department or law firm experience
- Broad knowledge of the health care and health services industry needed; knowledge of HIPAA and health care fraud, waste and abuse laws needed
- Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills, including negotiation skills
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to develop and manage relationships and collaborate effectively
- Ability to identify issues and propose actionable legal and business solutions
- Strong work ethic with effective time-management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated good judgment and attention to detail
- Ability and desire to learn new subject areas and willingness to take on new responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate pharmacy provider agreements.
- Provide day-to-day legal support relating to the pharmacy network management.
- Research and provide interpretative and practical advice regarding a variety of state and federal laws impacting pharmacy networks.
- Effectively collaborate with internal partners to advise and respond to a variety of legal issues impacting the pharmacy network.
- Develop strong business relationships with stakeholders involved with the Company’s pharmacy network operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulatory is preferred
- Experience with provider networks is a plus
