Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with artists, faculty, and directors to meet their creative and technical needs.
  • Develop and implement structured training programs for new student technicians.
  • Mentor students on professionalism, reliability, and effective communication in a production environment.
  • Ensure students understand proper safety protocols and technical standards.
  • Create and manage production schedules, including crew assignments and call times.
  • Collaborate with faculty and artistic directors to maintain accurate production timelines.
  • Organize and lead production meetings to confirm all logistical and technical details.
  • Assist in maintaining a master calendar of performances, rehearsals, and production needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Provide hands-on support with stage transitions, instrument strikes, and equipment adjustments.
  • Ensure clear communication between technical and front-of-house teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree.
  • Proficient in Excel or equivalent programs.
  • Existing knowledge of performance venue equipment, practices, personnel needs, and terminology.
