Requirements
- High School graduate or GED preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with computers preferred
- BCLS required within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Provides basic physical care
- Assists the patient with meeting nutritional needs
- Assists patients with activity as designated
- Maintains a safe environment for the patient according to policy and procedure
- Demonstrates role accountability to the patient, unit and the nursing department
- Performs and documents appropriate procedures according to hospital policy and procedure
- Performs duties that enhance organization of patient care on the unit
- Transcribes Orders according to policy and procedure
- Medical record maintenance
- Documents appropriately and according to policy and procedure on the medical record
- Enters and transmits computer system information to other department accurately and in a timely manner
- Initiates cardiac monitoring and maintains equipment and supplies
- Documents and communicates information regarding patient rhythms and Oxygen saturation
Preferred Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with computers preferred
