Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling
- Minimum of 4 years leadership experience
- Continuing progress toward and/or the completion of a professional designation preferred, such as Associate in Claims (AIC)
Responsibilities
- Oversees Claims department operations, optimizing workflows and ensuring high productivity
- Develops and implements strategic plans for the Claims department to align with business goals and objectives
- Leads the strategic oversight of claims settlements to confirm coverage and determine liability, compensability, and damages
- Advises team members on claim file management including settlement and reserving strategies
- Analyzes claims data to identify trends, assess performance, and provide regular reports to senior management
- Establishes reserves and provides insights or reports to Corporate Claims or senior management
- Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional designation preferred, such as Associate in Claims (AIC)
