Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Sterile processing distribution certification (CRST) by IAHCSMM or CBSPD
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the safe, efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments, equipment distribution and case care management.
- Perform case pull functions.
- Determine appropriate case carts to be built for specialty procedures.
- Dispatch case carts to ensure they are available for surgical/clinical procedures.
- Perform recordkeeping functions, such as processing, sterilization, quality assurance and more.
- Order and stock supplies.
- Maintain adequate levels and inventory of supplies.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in central service/sterile processing areas
- Successful completion of a recognized training program with certification in central service/sterile processing
