Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology
- One year of radiologic experience
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Computed Tomography
- Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision
- Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with age-specific criteria
Responsibilities
- Perform high quality Radiology and CT/XRAY examinations in accordance with established protocols
- Operate imaging equipment: Radiology and CT, Mammography, or MRI
- Follow radiation safety guidelines based on hospital policy and regulatory requirements
- Provide radiographic support for all areas of the Hospital as needed
- Position patients accurately for specific anatomic imaging using appropriate immobilization devices when required
- Avoid excessive repeated examinations by following guidelines
