Requirements

  • At least 6 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex data solutions and development of ETL jobs (eg Talend, Informatica).
  • Strong experience of a variety of database management systems (DBMS) eg Postgres, DB2, Snowflake.
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (ideally Python, Java)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem management and problem-solving skills and experience.
  • An understanding of knowledge of security frameworks, risk management and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.
  • Lead the design and development of innovative solutions to optimize complex data pipelines including ETL processes.
  • Architect, implement and optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability and security requirements, most notably databases and cloud services.
  • Lead complex Data Protection projects and initiatives, ensuring systems are in compliance with firm policies, standards and best practices.
  • Drive innovations in data protection by exploring new tools and techniques, testing out concepts and integrating them into tooling used within the firm.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to solve complex data transfer problems and challenges.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues to propose and implement effective remediation plans.
  • Write scripts and code enhancements to improve troubleshooting, observability and automate manual activities.
