Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with data architecture, data warehousing, and data governance
  • 5+ years of experience with leadership, including leading cross-functional teams in areas of data engineering, architecture, cyber, analytics, AI, and ML
  • 5+ years of experience with leading business process reengineering, business process assessment, or business architectural development
  • 5+ years of experience creating and managing data models, schemas, and diagrams, including enterprise data catalog tools such as Collibra, Microsoft Purview, and Alation
  • Experience with cloud technology supporting scalable data solutions
  • Knowledge of data management principles and best practices, including data quality management, data stewardship, and data lifecycle management
  • Ability to design, implement and manage database management systems, including SQL, Oracle, and NoSQL
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of data architecture solutions
  • Resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams
  • Analyze data architecture-related business needs and work with project staff to make decisions and recommendations on future data architecture developments
  • Share technical expertise, introduce best practices, and use a variety of tools to develop data strategies and design databases, data models, ETL processes, and data warehouse applications
  • Lead the team in designing, defining, developing, and testing cloud solution components
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SDLC, including Agile and test-driven methodologies
  • Knowledge of DoD enterprise data mission space and systems
  • Ability to support the development of strategic partnerships with various government, academic, and industry entities
  • Ability to interact with clients and staff professionally and deliver presentations to executives, clients, and professional peers
  • Doctorate degree
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP) Certification
