Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering—experience with backend technologies is a significant plus.
- Strong proficiency with AWS S3, MySQL, and AWS Glue, as well as other relevant technologies, for building and optimizing data pipelines.
- Proficient in Python and/or other scripting languages used for data manipulation.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure using AWS S3, MySQL, and AWS Glue, to enable seamless data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Maintain backend services and APIs that support our operational database and product functionality.
- Partner closely with Data Analysts and product developers to define data models, refine data workflows, and enhance our overall codebase.
- Implement best practices for ETL processes and backend development, ensuring system performance, reliability, and data integrity.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in both data engineering and backend development to drive continuous improvement and innovation across our platform.
- Initiate and lead data projects that improve insights and reporting capabilities, ensuring the business addresses immediate challenges while implementing solutions that support long-term growth and adaptability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze the right member segments for various campaigns, translating business needs into actionable strategies.
- Communicate insights effectively to internal teams and external clients, ensuring data drives real-world impact and strengthens customer relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid experience with backend development frameworks (Java/Spring Boot or others) and a good grasp of backend architectures.
- Bonus: Experience in healthcare, HIPAA-compliant environments, or with clinical/EHR data.
