We are in the midst of re-architecting and rebuilding our core enterprise data platform to support our rapidly growing and evolving business. The technical engineering manager will be a hands-on lead engineer with technical/business acumen and leadership experience that excels in a dynamic, fast-moving, and agile environment and is passionate about developing high quality, high performance, and scalable solutions. The candidate will work aside a team of seasoned engineers whose main objective is to maintain all aspects of the system health and ensure the on-time, quality delivery of platform and system releases.
This position will be part of the Operational Data Exchange (ODX) Technology team within the Data Organization at Schwab focusing on providing Operational Intelligence and Insights, and position Schwab to remain a Data Driven organization using a world class Data Exchange (DX) platform. The ODX team is beginning its cloud journey, and this role will play a key role in modernizing and migrating existing on prem Data Exchanges (DX’s) to Google Cloud. The DX’s support various critical business functions and business units – Finance, Futures & Forex Trading, Risk, Treasury, Compliance, etc. This is a role for someone who is excited to lead and build a future state data platform that is going to be pivotal to drive client-centricity, reducing time to market, scale & increasing efficiency. Ideal candidates enjoy fast-paced environments, thrive under ambiguity, driven and requires less oversight and embrace change passionately.
