Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a track record of building and optimizing distributed data systems.
- Strong proficiency in Spark, with the ability to tune performance and debug complex pipelines at scale.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized data processing environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architecture (AWS preferred), ETL design patterns, data lakes, and ML compute frameworks.
- Experience integrating streaming technologies like Kafka or Flink into production systems.
- Skilled at system design using both relational and NoSQL databases.
- A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring and teaching.
- A desire to lead technically while being a hands-on IC.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize scalable, high-performance data pipelines using Apache Spark and Kubernetes.
- Lead architectural decisions across batch and streaming systems, integrating cloud-native and NoSQL technologies.
- Implement automated data governance, data quality, and lineage frameworks to ensure trusted and compliant data.
- Partner with product, ML, and analytics teams to deliver robust data infrastructure that powers real-time and large-scale use cases.
- Contribute as a hands-on technical lead while mentoring teammates and sharing best practices.
