Requirements
- 1-2 years of IT experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst or Data Engineer, including requirements definition and business process mapping.
- Experience analyzing the data and processes using visualization in Tableau or Looker to answer specific business questions and find opportunities for improvement.
- Strong SQL (or other scripting tools) skills and knowledge of ETL programs (Mulesoft is a plus) and relational databases.
- Experience administering a growing Snowflake, Tableau or Looker instance.
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders to determine best practices and implementation of non-functional requirements such as exception/error handling, performance optimization and code management.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; a sense of humor is a must!
- Action-oriented, “can do” attitude demonstrating willingness to accept accountability and responsibility for individual actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, implementation and testing of enterprise Business Intelligence, Data Integration and Data Analytics applications.
- Work with the Enterprise Applications Team to deliver against the enterprise applications roadmap and IT strategic plan.
- Responsible for all phases of requirements gathering, solution design, configuration (and development), testing activities, end-user training and application administration.
- Build data pipelines using Mulesoft (iPaaS) to bring them into Snowflake (our enterprise data lake) and designing/developing best practice data models for data analysis using Looker and Tableau.
- Understand how Boston Dynamics operates and use this knowledge to provide a functional viewpoint for HR, Sales, Support, Finance, Manufacturing and Supply Chain applications.
- Build self-service business intelligence & reporting capabilities that improve customer experience using technologies such as Snowflake, Mulesoft, Looker and Tableau.
- Gather and analyze business requirements, translate requirements to build data models that help improve efficiency and overall financial and business operations.
- Maintain deep, complex knowledge of data structure and the interaction of data across the Data Operations stack and enterprise applications.
- Provide system administration, project management, data management, application development, and technical support to all Snowflake, Mulesoft, Looker and Tableau end users.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Java or Python and experience with structured data transformations using JSON.
- Knowledge and experience of Salesforce.com, Rootstock, Workday or Atlassian is helpful.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience with cloud storage and compute services, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
