Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a data science/analytics role.
- Degree in statistics, analytics, data science, or similar field, or equivalent practical work experience.
- Excellent storytelling, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated skill using SQL to extract data and create new data structures.
- Strong understanding and expertise of common statistical, artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques with a proven track record of deploying them effectively against key problems to solve.
- Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language (Python preferred) to uncover insights and build machine learning and/or statistical models.
- Experience using Github to manage and document projects.
- Excellent communications skills and a customer-first approach to collaboration.
- Curiosity and an appetite for continuous learning.
- Problem-solving, analytical mindset.
Responsibilities
- Engage business users to understand core needs and business value to best gather requirements and shape needs.
- Acquire, clean and prepare complex data sets for use in model and tool development.
- Independently and/or collaboratively build predictive AI/ML models across text, time, classification, regression and other common approaches.
- Translate technical details through storytelling to share model/project progress and outcomes with stakeholders to iterate on refining and meeting expectations.
- Respond to data-focused requests from client-facing stakeholders.
- Effectively work with cross-functional teams to extract value from data-driven initiatives.
- Manage data science projects end-to-end.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in applying statistical methods within the social sciences.
- Experience building and/or leveraging Large Language Models (LLM) and other Neural Networks.
