Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an analytical function
  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics or related field
  • Experience and proficiency working with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL (Databricks), Python/R, Excel, Powerpoint, Git/GitHub etc. Python or R preferred but not required)
  • Experience with BI & other analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Mode, Power BI, etc.)
  • Exposure to Data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
  • Solid experience in the collection, analysis, and delivery of large, multi‐dimensional data sets and building visualizations that turn data into meaningful business insights
  • Experience identifying, validating, documenting, and UATing events-based data for business utility in the data lake to help answer strategic questions

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights to inform business decisions and understand consumer behavior to support the decision-making process
  • Use SQL, Excel and BI tools with some opportunity to partner with data scientists and other members of the Ibotta analytics community on projects needing the use of Python, R and other advanced analytics tools
  • Formulate solutions addressing major business challenges and innovation opportunities
  • Develop a deep understanding of Ibotta’s data ecosystem and analytics tools
  • Bring proactive insights into our key business metrics through curiosity, dedication, and ongoing investment in understanding our products
  • Contribute to creating best practices and efficient processes for the team
  • Initiate and drive collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define project scope, responsibilities, and expectations
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and other analytics deliverables
