Requirements

  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License in Idaho or eligibility for reciprocity.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Technical leadership abilities and strong communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Expertise in transportation design-related software, including Bentley MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
  • Familiarity with Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) design processes and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Leading roadway planning, geometric design, and modeling using Bentley MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
  • Ensuring designs adhere to state and federal specifications and requirements.
  • Overseeing project deliverables, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
  • Conducting quality control reviews for designs and submittals.
  • Supporting all aspects of project submittals, from utility coordination to public involvement.
  • Building strong client relationships through proactive communication and technical expertise.
  • Driving business development by securing projects and expanding Civil Science’s regional presence.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior staff to achieve project excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven success in business development and marketing efforts.
  • Experience writing proposals, managing contracts, and liaising with clients.
  • Knowledge of utility coordination, environmental mitigation, and public involvement processes.
