Requirements
- Accredited degree in architecture, interior design, or as an architectural technologist required
- 0-5 years of professional commercial architecture and/or interiors experience
- Proficiency in the use of 2D/3D software, examples Revit, Enscape, AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, Grasshopper, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. High levels of work experience in Revit required
- Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and local BC building codes
- Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
- Strong organizations skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Portfolios should include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, Passive House, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview
Responsibilities
- Working with Design Director(s) and project team(s), participate in all project phases, including planning and programming, conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production
- Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
- Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
- Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings
- Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning program
- Contribute to thought leadership, event and network attendance
