Requirements
- Must be a sole U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain security clearances
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred) with minimum 2 years experience
- Material Processing Knowledge (Machining and Fabrication)
- Knowledge of Industry Standards (Military, ASTM, SAE, etc)
- Proficiency with a Solid Modeling Program (SolidWorks Preferred)
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Self-starter, motivated, and action-oriented individual able to excel in an environment with individual accountability
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and provide feedback on customer contracts and design proposals
- Develop customer compliant ordering data to support part procurement
- Write ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) to revise/create drawings, or to modify component ordering data based on customer requirements and supplier feedback
- Read and Interpret technical drawings, schematics, reports, and specifications
- Perform Engineering Analysis for non-conforming material and obtain customer approval
- Support EPD’s Manufacturing Floor: Assembly and Test
- Write Engineering Test Reports and Procedures for Customer Approval
- Design New Fixtures and Tools to support the in-house needs of Manufacturing
- Train and Support Technicians in Manufacturing Procedures to ensure customer specification compliance
- Other duties as time and initiative for career growth permit
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Rotating Machinery or Complex Assemblies Preferred
- FEA Experience a Plus
