Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 5+ years’ experience in real estate development with at least 3+ years in affordable housing development
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- High degree of organizational skills and problem-solving ability
- Strong relevant computer skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with execution of current development pipeline with properties in various stages
- Conduct project feasibility studies (market research, underwriting, investment thesis) and financial closings
- Work with stakeholders through Design, Construction Cost exercises, and Value Engineering
- Project Management through due diligence, entitlement & permitting, scheduling, and managing the critical path
- Consult with Legal & Finance partners for completing the LOI/PSA, Operating Agreements, Consultant Contracts, and Construction Contracts
- Day to day liaison with design/construction team, clients, and stakeholders
- Maintain scope and cost while meeting schedule and quality goals
- Oversee cost management reporting
- Uphold and represent Gilbane’s core values and reputation
- Ad Hoc analysis as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree desirable, in real estate development related field (i.e., engineering, architecture, construction, finance, law, economics)
- Experience in NY market preferred
- Experience with acquisition-rehab and value-add developments is a plus
