Requirements

  • Emphasis on brand and product storytelling through product design and retail design
  • Utilize a variety of design elements to articulate high-level, impactful artistic vision
  • Outstanding presentation skill
  • Knowledge of casual and workwear design and functional product innovation, experience with denim a plus.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Ability to use 2D/3D software, including Sketch Up, AutoCAD, KeyShot, PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Keynote
  • Detail-oriented and creative problem solver
  • Minimum 5 years of design experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design strategy and execution of innovative, functional, and trend-relevant Men’s workwear woven tops and outerwear that align with the brand’s vision and business objectives.
  • Initiate and provide focused, feasible, functional, commercial, and innovative product ideas that are appropriate for the Dickies brand, and the Men’s consumer in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for inspiring new concepts that build on Dickies heritage franchises through the spectrum from functional performance innovation for workwear needs, to elevated lifestyle interpretations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the market to identify opportunities and threats, stay up to date on industry trends, consumer trends, and competitor activities; conduct market research and trend analysis to stay ahead.
  • Ensure all designs meet quality, price/cost, fit, and functional standards, with a priority on considering cost and manufacturability.
  • Support the GTM process and ensure effective inputs and outputs.
  • Maintain design decks, tech packs, and other documentation to ensure clear communication and execution of design concepts.
  • Work in partnership with the Design, Global Merchandising, and Development teams to execute project direction, product process, cost targets, and deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and other external partners.
  • Present design concepts and collections to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Continuously analyze the category and evaluate design changes needed to improve efficiency, relevance, profitability, and commercial viability.
