Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair or completion of an accredited vocational-technical school program (preferred)
  • CDL preferred (ideally obtained within the first 90 days of employment)
  • Personal tools are required
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment
  • Ability to read and understand service and technical information

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance services
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment
  • Use vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment
  • Complete necessary paperwork using fleet maintenance software to document repairs, parts usage, and repair times
  • Review and address repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
  • Perform additional maintenance-related work as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, following corporate and OSHA standards
  • Adhere to established safety procedures in all tasks
  • Effectively communicate repair needs and tasks
