Requirements
- Expertise in Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Effective communication skills
- Organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the CMM to conduct precise measurements of parts, ensuring adherence to dimensional tolerances and specifications.
- Create, modify, and optimize CMM inspection programs using software such as PC-DMIS or Calypso.
- Understand and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and other documentation to guide inspection procedures.
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of manufactured parts using the CMM and other measuring tools as necessary.
- Record inspection data, document findings, and prepare reports to track quality and identify potential issues.
- Identify defects and communicate issues to relevant personnel.
- Contribute to overall quality control efforts by verifying that manufactured parts meet specified standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CMM Certification demonstrating competency in operating and programming CMMs
- Experience with CMM software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
