Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years applicable experience in procurement, supply chain, strategy, corporate development with 5+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Ability to gain buy-in and support from stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record in motivating and energizing teams to achieve goals, especially during challenging times.
- Experience managing large-scale procurement budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong background in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
- Solid understanding of procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
Responsibilities
- Manage ELYSIS procurement function following compliance standards and established best practices for ELYSIS purchases of goods and services.
- Lead sourcing activities as required for ELYSIS business needs.
- Manage and mentor a team of dynamic professionals.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and productive team environment.
- Further develop global supply chain strategy and bring creative solutions to achieve capacity, cost, IP protection and risk reduction objectives for the raw materials, components, and equipment required for ELYSIS commercialization.
- Commission market intelligence studies with third party experts to identify best sourcing and contracting strategy based on global supply landscape of multiple critical materials and components needed for implementation.
- Create ‘Make versus Buy’ framework for critical raw materials and promote decisions with ELYSIS leadership team for strategic definitions associated with the most economical management of future operating plants.
- Work with General Partners, CFO, and CEO to investigate engagement models where co-ownership or 3rd party investment(s) will prove advantageous to scale up materials capabilities.
- Manage portfolio of strategic supplier partnerships across the ELYSIS supply chain.
- Develop framework for engagement of suppliers and contractors with key focus on sustainability, development of capabilities within local communities and optimal use of technology in construction stages.
- Lead supply chain activities and contract negotiations related to capital projects, including contracting strategy, framework and management of engineering firm and development projects with equipment OEMs.
- Align the supply chain strategy with the overall ELYSIS commercialization objectives and roadmap. Develop a strategic sourcing portfolio of projects to support these outcomes.
- Promote mindset of versability and agility within team and cross functional interfaces to address ever-changing and challenging supply landscape.
Preferred Qualifications
- CIPS or equivalent certification preferred.
- Other relevant certifications like CPM or SCMP is a plus.
