Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in roles that have prepared you to understand, analyze and present financial performance across the full expanse of a complex business structure preferably in professional services (investment banking, private equity, or management consulting) or growth enterprise (running the FP&A function for a growing company)
- Ability to work through ambiguity and complex datasets and explain intricate financial analysis with crisp clean sentences and paragraphs
- Ability to articulate thoughtful analyses and data-based insights throughout the organization and gain buy-in for key recommendations
- Versatile and collaborative management style with the ability to build partnerships cross functionally
Responsibilities
- Lead Corporate FP&A team to consolidate, report and analyze financial performance of BetMGM
- Oversee development of budgets and re-forecasts, variance analyses, risk/opportunity assessments, financial models / KPIs, and various periodic and ad hoc reporting
- Track cash flow statements, income statements & balance sheets as well as all related forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, and accounting
- Direct hands-on keys modeling and systems work in overseeing the architecture and maintenance of our proprietary financial planning and analysis system (large excel models + SaaS ERM software), ensuring operational and analytical agility
- Serve as a thought leader in pursuit of continuous process (i.e. input/output) improvements
- Instill knowledge transfer and usability of system to broader Finance team to maximize operational productivity and output
- Lead and manage the organization’s annual budgeting and reforecasting activities in collaboration with the VP of Finance
- Develop and refine the internal business planning process, including timeline, templates, and deliverables
- Work with operating teams to provide fact-based recommendations that support revenue growth and improve profitability, operating efficiency, and effectiveness
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to one or more major SaaS EPM applications preferred (ideally Vena)
- Knowledge, interest, and familiarity with gambling and sports betting industries desired
- Strong intellectual curiosity – self-starter who is eager to learn, ask questions, and agile in aligning across different points of view and perspectives
