The Importance of the Role
The Director, Global Evidence Communications is responsible for creating and driving the strategy for evidence communication efforts across the International Business Unit. The implementation and management of critical Global Market Access, Evidence Generation (RWE, PCOR and HEOR) and International Business communication initiatives across all programs. The Director reports in to the office of the IBU and works closely with leaders of the GMAX, Evidence Generation, International Business and internal cross functional leads and external subject matter experts, vendors and stakeholders. The director manages and oversees the deliverables of a team of evidence communications professionals.
The Opportunity to Make a Difference
- Lead and implement the development of communication initiatives across all areas within the Global Access, Value, Evidence & International Business department, including deep dives into HEOR, PCOR, RWE and Analytics organization.
- Responsible for planning and implementing overall budgets across the programs.
- Identify gaps in current market access understanding and develop plans to gain direct payer insights through primary research, advisory boards, field insight mechanisms and work to develop solutions a timely, impactful manner.
- Lead key initiatives for dissemination via the Preapproval Exchange to advance proactive exchange of clinical and healthcare economic information to support access and reimbursement across products.
- Participate in scientific publication strategy and identify communication needs and target audiences to maximize internal understanding and increase external pull-through.
- Lead development and implementation of Sarepta processes to enable better communication of HEOR evidence as aligned by FDA guidance.
- Lead, develop and implement mechanisms to measure impact of effective field communications produced by the Global Access, Value, Evidence & International Business teams.
- Lead key initiatives as core member of rapid response team, providing direction to senior leadership and various stakeholder groups to enable rapid decision-making.
- Oversee and actively engage in the development of department objectives.
- Responsible for setting IBU communications strategies and objectives and successfully achieving approved objectives.
- Oversees and/or contributes to the development of global communication tools e.g, global value dossiers, country specific model adaptations etc.
- Develops and maintains core slide decks to facilitate internal and external communications.
- Manages data visualization activities and deliverables.
- Other related duties as needed.
More about You
·Advanced HEOR or other business/science degree required.
·12+ years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry, academic, medical communications or relevant experience.
·Ability to convey complex concepts, strategies and methodologies for broad understanding and application.
·Demonstrated success in HEOR, RWE and PCOR communications.
·Understanding of key payer value drivers and ability to develop and implement payer value propositions.
·Must demonstrate knowledge and success in navigating through changes in the healthcare marketplace, bringing an understanding of the industry’s customers, their challenges, and possible future healthcare scenarios to build impactful short- and long-term strategies and value proposition approaches to fruition.
·Must be highly motivated with strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and excellent communication skills.
·Ability to handle multiple tasks to effectively prioritize and meet personal and team goals.
·Must be able to produce high-quality, accurate work under time constraints.
·Strong collaboration skills capable of influencing internal and other decision-makers.
·Ability to manage complexity where both strategic and tactical skills are required.
·Strong strategic thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to identify business issues/opportunities.
·Up to 50% travel, including international travel as needed.
