Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in producing live events and experiences and an in-depth understanding of the experiential landscape, from live events to VR, broadcast, and digital.
- 8+ years agency experience.
- 3+ years supervisory experience of three or more direct reports and remote teams.
- Proven leader with production expertise including frontline experience securing and implementing integrated experiential marketing programs and live event logistics and management, staging, mobile marketing, tours and roadshows.
- Experienced in budget development and management, including creating staffing plans.
- Experienced in building an effective team – bringing out the best in people, creating strong morale and team spirit.
- Successful negotiator of production-related deliverables.
- Can orchestrate multiple activities, use resources effectively and efficiently. Strong time management skills.
- Open to travel as and when needed (frequent).
Responsibilities
- Oversight of all events to include experiential activations and field marketing programs.
- Manager pre-production and implementation of integrated experiential marketing programs.
- Deliver significant category expertise in live event logistics and management, mobile marketing, tours and roadshows, stage, sound, lighting, security, staffing talent.
- Partner with senior management across functions on forward-planning for future success of the Production Department including operational issues, staffing and profitability estimates for all jobs.
- Asset management of all materials including storage and warehousing.
- Along with budget development and management, develop fully integrated event solution plans and fulfill all necessary Production related processes i.e. status reports, budgets, database tracking, vendor management, recaps, etc.
- Manage contract and fee negotiations for all Production elements. Adhere to budgets and all necessary insurance and risk management requirements.
- Through actions and established standards, create a team environment that facilitates mutual respect and partnership across functions, strategic thinking, appropriate risk taking, open lines of communication between staff and managers, on-going performance feedback, professional development and adherence to agency policy.
- Facilitate agency and production specific training for team.
- Proactive in developing solutions related to operational and quality issues within the team and across other Momentum departments.
- Troubleshoot conflicts with all stakeholders. Superb crisis manager.
- Lead the development and delivery of compelling client presentations and new business presentations.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Momentum’s core disciplines and support creative solutions in event categories. Oversee staff planning, selection, performance management, employee relations, training and related HR matters for assigned team in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
- Work closely with operational teams (Finance, HR) to achieve agency objectives.
- Set event quality standards that exceed the needs of Momentum clients.
- Ensure programs conceived by other disciplines are effective and manageable as event marketing programs.
- Participate in weekly national conference calls for event production management.
- Complete and monitor event status reports.
- Develop and maintain a local knowledge bank of freelance production resources, production vendors, event locations and local event permitting requirements in primary location and assigned secondary markets.
- Managing and mentoring of direct reports.
- Supporting Momentum’s values.
