Requirements
- Typically requires bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Risk, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Typically requires 8+ years of experience in fraud prevention, fraud strategy, or fraud product management
- Typically requires 5+ years of experience leading and managing teams
- Hands-on experience with fraud rules management, fraud detection tools, and fraud prevention strategies
Responsibilities
- Lead and Empower Your Team: Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training to grow a strong fraud prevention team. Conduct regular performance evaluations and encourage continuous development.
- Design Smart Fraud Rules: Oversee the creation, testing, and optimization of fraud detection rules across all products and channels — making sure they align with our risk appetite, fraud trends, and operational goals.
- Enhance Operational Processes: Drive process innovation and efficiency by identifying areas to streamline fraud workflows and reduce manual effort across the board.
- Set the Fraud Tech Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a forward-thinking fraud technology roadmap. Own vendor selection, system integration, and tool optimization efforts to enhance detection and prevention capabilities.
- Maximize Fraud Tools Performance: Ensure our fraud detection systems are working effectively. Partner with Technology, Fraud Governance, and Vendor Management to implement new capabilities and maximize ROI on fraud technology investments.
- Embed Fraud Prevention into Product Design: Make sure every new product and feature includes fraud prevention by design. Influence product roadmaps to integrate fraud protections that support security without sacrificing user experience.
- Collaborate to Innovate: Work cross-functionally with teams across the business to balance fraud controls with seamless member experience. Introduce new authentication methods and cutting-edge fraud mitigation techniques that keep us ahead of evolving threats.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing fraud decisioning systems and implementing fraud technology platforms
- Experience in fraud workflow optimization, fraud operations, and process design
- Experience managing vendor relationships and overseeing fraud tool evaluations or implementations
- Experience working cross-functionally with senior leadership and stakeholder groups
- Industry-recognized fraud certification such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or equivalent
