Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or 10+ years in progressive EH&S Leadership Roles.
- Proven track record of successfully managing EH&S Programs globally across multiple sites.
- Managing global team members.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with automation equipment safety standards EN 60204 / ISO 13849.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global EH&S strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with international, national, and local EH&S regulations and standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate EH&S risks across all global locations.
- Create and enforce Global EH&S policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Oversee the development and delivery of EH&S training programs to employees at all levels.
- Develop global procedures/standards for incident management across multiple disciplines: manufacturing, warehouse/logistics, office work, remote and on-site associates.
- Operationalize global sustainability initiatives and contribute to continued identification of sustainability opportunities across Insulet locations.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor and report on EH&S Program’s performance, health, and adoption levels.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry groups, and community organizations.
- Foster and embed a culture of continuous improvement in EH&S practices across all sites and at all levels of the organization.
- Develop emergency response and preparedness plans.
- Manage small global team.
Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of EH&S regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Familiarity with sustainability and environmental stewardship programs.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues; knowledge of structured problem solving is a plus (DMAIC, A3, RCA, RCCA).
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to influence and drive standardization of safety programs, policies, and practices.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 QMS Standard for Medical Device manufacturing.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
