Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
- Minimum of 5-8 years Supply Chain planning related experience
- Minimum 2-3 years managing Logistics teams
- Numerate, analytical and a good problem-solver
- Experience managing logistics providers and ability to demonstrate experience in driving operational performance improvement
- Understanding of budget management for logistics costs
- Inquisitive, resilient, someone who sees things through
- Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptive to new situations and changes in direction
- Able to demonstrate real examples of taking ownership of projects/improvements right through to the end result
Responsibilities
- Influence and oversee the day-to-day operations of 3PL partners including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping
- Manage the regional 3PL’s to ensure SLAs are met and SOPs are followed
- Identify and coordinate service, process and cost improvements at regional DC
- Manage relationships with logistics partners, carriers, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in logistics and warehousing operations
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, working closely with transportation partners to ensure on-time deliveries
- Monitor transportation costs and find opportunities to optimize shipping methods and reduce expenses
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and reconciliations
- Manage internal priority requests across all regional channels and countries and communicate achievable, clear and aligned plan to the 3PL’s
- Utilize data and metrics to drive informed decision-making
- Lead and mentor the logistics & inventory team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve operational goals
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with global Supply Chain departments to ensure alignment of Americas Logistics activities with overall business objectives
- Build and maintain strong internal relationships to enable joint business planning for new Americas markets, new retailers, and peak B2B & B2C events
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with an ERP system is highly desirable
- Someone IT savvy who is able to bring experience of improved information sharing both internally and externally
- An entrepreneurial flair
