Requirements
- MS degree needed; PhD preferred
- 10+ years of experience as a data scientist
- 5+ years of team management experience
- Proven track record of leading and scaling data science teams in large, fast-paced technology driven environment – direct to consumer experience preferred
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing large teams and complex projects
- High familiarity with advanced data science techniques
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically, with a strong sense of ownership and drive
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of data scientists to drive initiatives that enhance our in-app personalization capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, strategy, and finance, to understand business needs and develop ML/AI solutions to address them.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data science, staying current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to understand their data and modeling needs and provide strategic recommendations.
- Develop and deliver presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to various levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness and impact of data science initiatives and adjust strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Promote advanced forecasting models to drive data-driven decision-making and business strategy.
