Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience in consumer electronics, with significant expertise in camera hardware design, imaging systems, and video technology.
  • 3+ years leading and developing teams of product managers.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching complex hardware products from concept through scale.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, or related).
  • Strong bias for action, a willingness to dive deep when needed to get things done, and demonstrated leadership skills to motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for the consumer technology and mission-driven products that improve people’s lives.
  • Highly analytical and comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment while applying experience and judgement to make decisions.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels—from technical teams to C-suite executives.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the long-term vision and product strategy for SimpliSafe’s hardware platform, with an emphasis on cameras and intelligent hardware experiences.
  • Lead the development and prioritization of the hardware roadmap across key product categories—cameras, sensors, base stations, keypads, and more.
  • Partner closely with hardware engineering, design, operations, and software teams to deliver innovative, high-quality products that delight customers and strengthen our security platform.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of product managers.
  • Drive go-to-market readiness in collaboration with marketing, sales, and customer support.
  • Stay ahead of industry and technology trends, with deep knowledge of the competitive landscape in connected devices and smart home security—especially in imaging and camera systems.
  • Make data-informed decisions while being comfortable making bold, strategic bets when data is ambiguous or incomplete.
