Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HMI, Interaction Design, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a proven track record of innovative and successful projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in automotive or technology sectors.
  • Proficiency in a variety of visual styles and an ability to adapt designs to different contexts.
  • Expertise in user-centered design principles, iterative testing, and quality assurance processes.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering and product management.
  • Experience collaborating directly with software and hardware engineers to achieve the desired experience.
  • Passion for automotive innovation and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • In-vehicle Infotainment System Feature Definition and Interaction Design: Lead the definition and design of vehicle and mobile app user interaction systems, including application launching, user profile management, settings, vehicle soft controls, and notification systems across a variety of vehicle configurations and screen sizes.
  • Mobile Companion Application.
  • Creative Direction: Define the visual styles for various vehicles and personalizations, ensuring consistency and a world-class aesthetic that resonates with users.
  • System Applications: Oversee the design of system-level applications such as Settings, Owner’s Guide, and Onboarding to ensure usability, coherence and delight.
  • Framework Development: Develop system frameworks for notifications, chimes, and other foundational elements to create a seamless and cohesive user experience.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with application design teams to ensure the System UI meets their design and business needs while delivering a unified user experience.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Build, lead, and mentor a team of UX/UI designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • High-Quality Execution: Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs, rigorous testing, and iteration to maintain quality and meet stakeholder needs.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay ahead of industry trends, integrating emerging technologies and design innovations to maintain a competitive edge.
