Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in People Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis software.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR analytics strategy at Segment/Market level, aligning with the McDonald’s goals and objectives.
  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision making within the People Function and across the organization.
  • Collaborate with market senior leadership team, People leadership team, Operations and other internal and external partners to identify key people metrics and develop actionable insights.
  • Translate complex business questions into data-driven research plans, develop analysis methodology, and deliver actionable insights that impact workforce strategies.
  • Create compelling data visualizations to effectively communicate complex people data and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Utilize advanced statistical techniques and data analytics tools to analyze people data and uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Partner with Data Science Team to develop advanced models to forecast People trends and support management initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Market People Leadership team and franchisee leadership team in shaping people strategy, narratives and action plans using data insights.
  • Partner with business leaders across function/markets to address broader business analytics needs.
  • Lead people analytics intake and prioritization, ensuring alignment with business goals and maximizing impact.
  • Partner with People Leadership team and franchisee leadership team to develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for people-related initiatives.
  • Oversee the development and evolution of restaurant people insights products (People Data Warehouse).
  • Manage third-party vendors, ensuring high-quality deliverables and services to end-users within timeline and budget.
  • Oversee the collection, integration, and management of people data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Design and maintain people dashboards to provide real-time insights to leaders.
  • Monitor and report on key people performance metrics, including employee engagement, retention, turnover, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of People Insights Business Partners, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, providing coaching, professional development opportunities, and exposure to advanced analytics tools and techniques.
  • Work closely with other functions, such as Operations, Technology and Finance, to ensure alignment and integration of People Analytics initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in People Analytics and Data Science.
  • Encourage innovation and experimentation within the team, ensuring McDonald’s remains at the forefront of People Analytics.
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset, challenging the status quo to improve how McDonald’s leverages people data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in analytics programming languages and data query tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, STATA, Databricks).
  • Experience in franchise operations and understanding of retail or hospitality industry dynamics.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance and data privacy regulations.
  • Familiarity with HR management, compliance standards and data privacy regulations.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align data insights to broader organizational goals.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
